लोकपालोडन््तर्तितात्मा प्रसादो हयगर्दभि: । पवित्र च महांश्नैव नियमो नियमाश्रित:
lokapālo ’ntarhitātmā prasādo hayagardabhiḥ | pavitraṃ ca mahāṃś caiva niyamo niyamāśritaḥ ||
வாயுதேவன் கூறினான்— அவர் உலகங்களின் காவலன்; மறைஉருவில் இயங்குபவன்; எப்போதும் அருள்மிகு அமைதியால் நிறைந்தவன். குதிரைகளும் கழுதைகளும் (மியூல்கள்) பூட்டிய தேரில் அவர் செல்கிறான். அவர் தூயவன், மிகப் போற்றத்தக்கவன்; தூய்மை, திருப்தி போன்ற நியமங்களைப் பின்பற்றுவதால் அடையத்தக்கவன்; அந்த நியமங்களுக்கே ஆதாரமும் அடைக்கலமும் அவர் தான்.
