तस्मात् पापं न गूहेत गूहमानं विवर्धयेत् । कृत्वा तत् साधुष्वाख्येयं ते तत् प्रशमयन्त्युत
tasmāt pāpaṃ na gūheta gūhamānaṃ vivardhayet | kṛtvā tat sādhūṣv ākhyeyaṃ te tat praśamayanty uta ||
ஆகையால் பாவத்தை மறைக்கக் கூடாது; மறைக்கப்பட்ட பாவம் வளர்கிறது. ஒருவேளை பாவம் செய்திருந்தால், அதை சாது-நல்லோரிடம் சொல்ல வேண்டும்; அவர்கள் அதனைச் சமப்படுத்தி அமைதிப்படுத்துவர்.
