ते ययु: शरणं विप्रानूचुस्ते कान् जयामहे । इत्युक्तास्ते द्विजान् प्राहुर्जयतेह कपानिति
Transliteration
te yayuḥ śaraṇaṃ viprān ūcuś te kān jayāmahe | ity uktās te dvijān prāhur jayateha kapān iti ||
Translation
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—தேவர்கள் பிராமணர்களிடம் சரணடைந்து கேட்டனர்: “நாம் யாரை வெல்ல வேண்டும்?” பிராமணர்கள் அவ்வாறு கேட்டபோது தேவர்கள் சொன்னார்கள்: “இங்கே ‘கப’ எனப்படும் அசுரர்களை வெல்லுங்கள்.”
