Shloka 17
इन्द्र रवाच अस्माभिरननिन्दितावेतौ भवेतां सोमपौ कथम् | देवैर्न सम्मितावेतौ तस्मान्मैवं वदस्व न:
indra uvāca—asmābhir ananinditāv etau bhavetāṃ somapau katham | devair na sammitāv etau tasmān maivaṃ vadasva naḥ ||
இந்திரன் கூறினான்—“குற்றமற்ற பிராமணரே! இவ்விருவரையும் நாங்கள் கண்டித்துள்ளோம்; அப்படியிருக்க அவர்கள் எவ்வாறு சோமபானத்திற்கு உரியவர்கள்? அவர்கள் தேவர்களுக்கு இணையான நிலையில் மதிக்கப்படுவதில்லை; ஆகவே அவர்களுக்காக எங்களிடம் இவ்வாறு பேசாதீர்.”
