पराक्रमैस्तेडपि तदा व्यघ्नन्नत्रिसुरक्षिता: । उद्धासितश्न सविता देवास्त्राता हतासुरा:
parākramais te ’pi tadā vyaghnaṁn atrisurakṣitāḥ | uddhāsitaś ca savitā devās trātā hatāsurāḥ ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்— அப்போது அத்ரியின் பாதுகாப்பில் இருந்த தேவர்களும் தங்கள் வீரத்தால் பகைவர்களைத் தாக்கி அழித்தனர். சவிதா (சூரியன்) மீண்டும் ஒளிவீசினான்; தேவர்கள் காப்பாற்றப்பட்டனர்; அசுரர்கள் அழிந்தனர். அத்ரியின் தவத்தேஜஸால் அந்த மாபெரும் அசுரர்கள் எரிவதைப் பார்த்து, அஞ்சாத தேவர்கள் எழுந்து தைத்யர்களை வதைத்தனர்; இவ்வாறு தர்மமான பாதுகாப்பும் உள்ளார்ந்த தவவலிமையும் வீரத்தை மாற்றாது—அதை வெற்றியடையச் செய்கின்றன।
