उद्धव: क्षोभणो देव: श्रीगर्भ: परमेश्वर: । करणं कारणं कर्ता विकर्ता गहनो गृह:
uddhavaḥ kṣobhaṇo devaḥ śrīgarbhaḥ parameśvaraḥ | karaṇaṃ kāraṇaṃ kartā vikartā gahano guhaḥ ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அவர் ‘உத்தவ’, ‘க்ஷோபண’, ‘தேவ’, ‘ஸ்ரீகர்ப’, ‘பரமேஸ்வர’ என அழைக்கப்படுகிறார். அவரே கரணம், காரணம்; அவரே கர்த்தா, பலவகை உலகங்களை வடிவமைக்கும் விகர்த்தா; அவர் கஹனன், குஹ்யன்—மாயையால் தன் சொரூபத்தை மறைத்துக் கொள்கிறார்.
