महाबुद्धिर्महावीरयों महाशक्तिर्महाद्युति: । अनिर्देश्यवपु: श्रीमानमेयात्मा महाद्विधृक्
bhīṣma uvāca | mahābuddhir mahāvīryo mahāśaktir mahādyutiḥ | anirdeśyavapuḥ śrīmān ameyātmā mahā-dvidhṛk ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அவர் மஹாபுத்தி, மஹாவீர்யம் உடையவர்; மஹாசக்தி, மஹாத்யுதி கொண்டவர். அவரது வடிவு ‘அநிர்தேஷ்ய’—வாக்கால் விவரிக்க இயலாதது; அவர் ‘ஸ்ரீமான்’—தெய்வீக செல்வம் நிறைந்தவர். அவரது ஆத்மஸ்வரூபம் ‘அமேயம்’—அளவிடவும் ஊகிக்கவும் இயலாதது. மேலும் அவர் ‘மஹாத்வித்ருக்’—உலகைக் காக்க மாபெரும் மலைகளைத் தாங்கியவர்; அமுதமந்தனத்தில் மந்தரமலையையும், கோ-ரட்சணத்தில் கோவர்த்தனமலையையும் தாங்கியவர்.
