न चैकत्र समासक्तो न चैकग्रामगोचर: । मुक्तो हाटति निर्मुक्तो न चैकपुलिनेशय:
na caikatra samāsakto na caikagrāmago caraḥ | mukto hāṭati nirmukto na caikapulineśayaḥ ||
துறவி ஒரே இடத்திலே பற்றுக் கொள்ளக் கூடாது; ஒரே கிராமத்திற்குள் வாழ்வைச் சுருக்கிக் கொள்ளக் கூடாது; எப்போதும் ஒரே நதிக்கரையிலே உறங்கவும் கூடாது. எல்லாப் பற்றுகளிலிருந்தும் விடுபட்டு, முழுமையாக விமோசனமடைந்து, கட்டுப்பாடின்றி—அனாசக்தனாய், தன்னடக்கமுடையவனாய்—தன்னிச்சையாகச் சுற்றித் திரிய வேண்டும்.
