हव्यवाहे तु यः पिण्डो दीयते तन्निबोध मे । पितरस्तेन तृप्यन्ति प्रीता:ः कामान् दिशन्ति च
havyavāhe tu yaḥ piṇḍo dīyate tan nibodha me | pitaras tena tṛpyanti prītāḥ kāmān diśanti ca ||
ஹவ்யவாஹனான அக்னியில் இடப்படும் பிண்டம் குறித்து என்னிடமிருந்து அறிந்துகொள். அந்த அர்ப்பணத்தால் பித்ருக்கள் திருப்தியடைகிறார்கள்; மகிழ்ந்து மனிதனின் விரும்பிய நோக்கங்களை அருளுகின்றார்கள்.
