स बुद्धिश्रुतिसम्पन्नस्तं दृष्टवातीव भीषणम् | सामैवास्मिन् प्रयुयुजे न मुमोह न विव्यथे
sa buddhiśrutisampannas taṃ dṛṣṭvātīva bhīṣaṇam | sāmaivāsmin prayuyuje na mumoh na vivyathe ||
அவன் அறிவும் வேத-சாஸ்திரக் கல்வியும் உடையவன். ஆகவே அந்த மிக அச்சமூட்டும் ராட்சசனைப் பார்த்தும் அவன் மயங்கவில்லை; கலங்கவும் இல்லை. மாறாக, அவனிடம் சாமநீதியையே பயன்படுத்தினான்.
