Adhyāya 122 — Śruta-vṛtta-yukta Brāhmaṇa and the Ethics of Dāna

कीट उवाच इदं तदतुलं स्थानमीप्सितं दशभिर्गुणै: । यदहं प्राप्य कीटत्वमागतो राजपुत्रताम्
kīṭa uvāca idaṃ tad atulaṃ sthānam īpsitaṃ daśabhir guṇaiḥ | yad ahaṃ prāpya kīṭatvam āgato rājaputratām ||
பூச்சி (க்ஷத்திரியன்) கூறினான்—பகவனே! இன்று எனக்கு ஒப்பற்ற அந்த நிலை கிடைத்தது; அதை நான் பத்து பிறவிகளிலும் பெற விரும்பினேன். என் குற்றத்தால் பூச்சி யோனியில் வீழ்ந்திருந்தாலும், உங்கள் அருளால் இன்று நான் அரசகுமாரனாக ஆனேன்.
