अन्नदानफलं (Anna-dāna-phala) / The Fruit of Food-Giving
अत: पर॑ं नोपवासो भवतीति विनिश्षय: । उवाच भगवान् विष्णु: स्वयमेव पुरातनम्
ataḥ paraṁ nopavāso bhavatīti viniśṣayaḥ | uvāca bhagavān viṣṇuḥ svayam eva purātanam |
உறுதியாக அறிந்துகொள்—இந்த உபவாசத்தை விட உயர்ந்த உபவாசம் வேறில்லை. இந்தப் பழமையான விரதத்தைத் தாமே பகவான் விஷ்ணு உபதேசித்தார்.
