वायुदेव उवाच गार्हस्थ्यं धर्ममाश्रित्य मया वा मद्दविधेन वा | किमवश्यं धरे कार्य कि वा कृत्वा कृतं भवेत्‌

Transliteration

vāyudeva uvāca | gārhasthyaṁ dharmam āśritya mayā vā madvidhena vā | kim avaśyaṁ dhare kāryaṁ kiṁ vā kṛtvā kṛtaṁ bhavet ||

Translation

வாயுதேவர் கூறினார்—வசுந்தரையே! இல்லற தர்மத்தை ஆதாரமாகக் கொண்டு, என்னாலோ என்னைப் போன்ற வேறொருவராலோ, எந்தக் கடமை அவசியமாகச் செய்யப்பட வேண்டும்? மேலும் எதைச் செய்தால் இல்லற வாழ்வு கൃതகൃത்யமாகிறது?
