ययाति-देवयानी-शर्मिष्ठा विवादः — Śukra’s Curse and the Disclosure of Lineage
गृहीत्वा दक्षिणे पाणावुज्जहार ततोडवटात् । उद्धृत्य चैनां तरसा तस्मात् कूपान्नराधिप:
gṛhītvā dakṣiṇe pāṇāv ujjahāra tato 'vaṭāt | uddhṛtya caināṁ tarasā tasmāt kūpān narādhipaḥ ||
அரசன் அவளை வலக்கையால் பற்றிக் கொண்டு அந்தக் குழியிலிருந்து மேலே தூக்கினான். பின்னர் விரைந்து வலிமையுடன், மனிதர்களின் தலைவன் அவளை அந்தக் கிணற்றிலிருந்து இழுத்து வெளியே கொண்டுவந்தான்—பலவீனரை மீட்பதே அரசதர்மம் என்பதைக் காத்த உறுதியான செயல் அது.
