Duḥṣanta–Śakuntalā: Gandharva Marriage and Succession Condition
प्रत्यूचु: सहिता: सर्वे ताराधिपमपूजयन् । एवं ते कथितं राजंस्तव जन्म पितु: पितु:
pratyūcuḥ sahitāḥ sarve tārādhipam apūjayan | evaṃ te kathitaṃ rājan tava janma pituḥ pituḥ |
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—அனைத்து தேவர்களும் ஒன்றுகூடி ‘ததாஸ்து’ என்று ஒப்புதல் கூறி, நட்சத்திரங்களின் அதிபதி சந்திரனை வழிபட்டனர். அரசே! இவ்வாறு உன் தந்தையின் தந்தை (பிதாமகன்) பிறந்த வரலாற்றை நான் உனக்குச் சொன்னேன்—தெய்வ ஒப்புதலும் உலக ஒழுங்கிற்கான வணக்கமும் அரச வம்சத் தொடர்ச்சிக்குப் பின்னணி என்பதைக் காட்டி.
