Vyāsa’s Arrival at Janamejaya’s Sarpasatra; Commissioning of Vaiśaṃpāyana’s Recital (व्यासागमनम्)
सौतिरुवाच ततः स वासुकेरघोरमपनीय मनोज्वरम् । आधाय चात्मनोड्रेषु जगाम त्वरितो भूशम्
Sautir uvāca: tataḥ sa vāsuker aghoram apanīya manojvaram | ādhāya cātmano 'dveṣu jagāma tvarito bhūśam ||
சௌதி கூறினான்—அப்போது அவன் வாசுகியின் கொடிய மனக்காய்ச்சலை அகற்றி, அந்தச் சுமையைத் தானே ஏற்றுக்கொண்டான்; பின்னர் வாசுகியையும் மற்ற நாகங்களையும் உயிர்ப்பெரிலிருந்து காக்கும் நோக்கில், அரசன் ஜனமேஜயனின் சர்ப்பயாகத்திற்குத் துரிதமாகச் சென்றான்.
