दुर्योधनश्व कर्णश्व शकुनिश्चापि सौबल: । अधर्मयुक्ता दुष्प्रज्ञा बाला मैषां वच: कृथा:,दुर्योधन, कर्ण और सुबलपुत्र शकुनि--ये अधर्मपरायण, खोटी बुद्धिवाले और मूर्ख हैं; अतः इनका कहना न मानिये

duryodhanaś ca karṇaś ca śakuniś cāpi saubalaḥ | adharmayuktā duṣprajñā bālā mā eṣāṃ vacaḥ kṛthāḥ ||

விதுரர் கூறினார்—துரியோதனன், கர்ணன், சுபலனின் மகன் சகுனி—இவர்கள் அதர்மத்தில் பற்றுடையோர்; தீய அறிவுடையோர்; குழந்தைத்தனமானோர். ஆகவே இவர்களின் சொற்களை ஏற்காதீர்.
