ततः कर्णमुखानू् दृष्ट्वा क्षत्रियान् युद्धदुर्मदान् । सम्पेततुरभीतौ तौ गजौ प्रतिगजानिव
tataḥ karṇamukhān dṛṣṭvā kṣatriyān yuddha-durmadān | sampetatū rabhītau tau gajau pratigajān iva ||
பின்னர் கர்ணனை முன்னணியாகக் கொண்டு, போர்மதத்தில் அகந்தையுற்ற க்ஷத்திரியர்கள் வருவதைக் கண்டதும், அந்த இரு சகோதரரும் அஞ்சாது பாய்ந்தனர்—எதிர் யானைகளின் மீது மதம் கொண்ட இரு யானைகள் மோதப் பாய்வதுபோல்.
