Draupadī Episode
वसिष्ठ उवाच ततस्तं क्रोधजं तात और्वोडग्निं वरुणालये । उत्ससर्ज स चैवाप उपयुद्धक्ते महोदधौ
Vasiṣṭha uvāca: tatas taṁ krodhajaṁ tāta aurvo 'gnim Varuṇālaye | utsasarja sa caivāpa upayuddhakte mahodadhau ||
வசிஷ்டர் கூறினார்—“அப்போது, ஓ தாதா பராசரா, ஔர்வன் தன் கோபஜ அக்கினியை வருணனின் ஆலயமான கடலில் வீசி விட்டான். அது இன்றும் மகாசமுத்திரத்தில் நீரைப் பருகிக்கொண்டே எரிந்து நிலைக்கிறது.” கந்தர்வன் கூறினான்—“புலஸ்தியரும் பேரறிவுடைய வசிஷ்டரும் இவ்வாறு கூறியபின், மகாமுனி சக்தியின் புதல்வன் பராசரன் உடனே யாகச் சத்ரத்தை நிறைவு செய்தான்।”
