उस समय अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंकी भारी वर्षसे घायल होकर विश्वामित्रकी सेनाके पाँव उखड़ गये और उनके सामने ही वे सभी योद्धा भयभीत हो सब ओर भाग चले
tadā astrāśastra-vṛṣṭyā bhṛśaṃ viddhā viśvāmitrasya senā pādāḥ pracyutāḥ | tasya purata eva te sarve yoddhā bhayabhītā diśo diśaḥ prādravan |
பின்னர் ஆயுதங்களின் அடர்ந்த மழையால் தாக்கப்பட்ட விசுவாமித்திரன் படை நிலை குலைந்து அணிவகுப்பு சிதைந்தது. அவன் கண்முன்னே அந்த வீரர்கள் அனைவரும் அச்சத்தில் ஆட்கொண்டு எல்லாத் திசைகளிலும் ஓடினர்.
