Cause of Kalmāṣapāda’s Niyoga under a Curse
इत्युक्त: स तदा तेन ददानीत्येव निश्चित: । प्रत्यभाषत त॑ विप्रं प्रतिनन्द्य दिवाकर:,वसिष्ठजीके यों कहनेपर अपनी कन्या देनेका निश्चय करके भगवान् सूर्यने ब्रह्मर्षिका अभिनन्दन किया और इस प्रकार कहा--
ity uktaḥ sa tadā tena dadānīty eva niścitaḥ | pratyabhāṣata taṁ vipraṁ pratinandya divākaraḥ ||
அவர் இவ்வாறு கூறியதும், திவாகரன் “நான் (என் மகளை) அளிப்பேன்” என்று உறுதியாகத் தீர்மானித்து, அந்தப் பிரம்மரிஷியைப் பாராட்டி, அந்த விப்ரருக்கு மறுமொழி கூறினான்.
