प्राणाधिकं भीमसेनं कृतविद्यं धनंजयम् । धार्तराष्ट्रा दुरात्मानो नामृष्यन्त परस्परम्
prāṇādhikaṃ bhīmasenaṃ kṛtavidyaṃ dhanaṃjayam | dhārtarāṣṭrā durātmāno nāmṛṣyanta parasparam ||
பீமசேனன் உயிர்வலிமையில் மேலானவன் என்றும், தனஞ்சயன் (அர்ஜுனன்) ஆயுதக் கல்வியில் நிறைவு பெற்றவன் என்றும் கண்டதும், திருதராஷ்டிரனின் தீய மனத்தையுடைய புதல்வர்கள் அதைத் தாங்க இயலவில்லை; பொறாமையும் பகையும் அவர்களுள் கொழுந்துவிட்டன.
