अयं बलवतां श्रेष्ठ: कुन्तीपुत्रो वृकोदर: । मध्यम: पाण्डुपुत्राणां निकृत्या संनिगृह्मुताम्
ayaṃ balavatāṃ śreṣṭhaḥ kuntīputro vṛkodaraḥ | madhyamaḥ pāṇḍuputrāṇāṃ nikṛtyā saṃnigṛhmūtām |
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—“குந்தியின் புதல்வன் வ்ருகோதரன், பாண்டுவின் புதல்வர்களில் நடுவனாயினும் வலிமைமிக்கவர்களில் முதன்மையானவன்; அவனை வஞ்சகத்தால் பிடித்து சிறைபடுத்த வேண்டும்.”
