न सीदेतामदुःखाहें मा गमो भरतर्षभ । “इस मार्गपर केवल वायु चल सकती है तथा सिद्ध महर्षि भी जा सकते हैं। इस पर्वतराजपर चलती हुई ये दोनों राजकुमारियाँ कैसे कष्ट न पायेंगी? भरतवंशशिरोमणे! ये दोनों रानियाँ दुःख सहन करनेके योग्य नहीं हैं; अतः आप न चलिये'
na sīdetām aduḥkhāhe mā gamo bharatarṣabha
துன்பத்துக்கு பழகாத இவ்விருவரும் வருந்தாதிருக்கட்டும்; பாரதர்களில் சிறந்தவனே, நீ முன்னே செல்லாதே. இந்த வழியில் காற்றே செல்லும்; সিদ্ধ மகரிஷிகளும் மட்டுமே கடக்க இயலும். இந்த மலைராஜன் மீது நடந்து செல்லும் இவ்விரு அரசகுமாரிகள் எவ்வாறு துன்பமடையாமல் இருப்பர்? பாரத குலத்தின் மணிமுடியே, இவ்விரு அரசியரும் இத்தகைய வேதனையைத் தாங்கத் தகுதியற்றவர்கள்; ஆகையால் நீ தொடராதே.
