धर्म्यमर्थसमायुक्तमुवाच वचन हितम् | कौसल्ये धर्मतन्त्र॑ त्वां यद् ब्रवीमि निबोध तत्
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
dharmyam arthasamāyuktam uvāca vacanaṁ hitam |
kausalyē dharmatantre tvaṁ yad bravīmi nibodha tat ||
அவள் தர்மமுடையதும், பொருள்நலத்துடன் இணைந்ததும், நன்மை தருவதுமான சொற்களை உரைத்தாள்— “கௌசல்யையே! தர்ம ஒழுக்கத்தில் நிலைத்து, நான் சொல்லவிருப்பதை கவனமாக அறிந்துகொள்.”
