लाघवं तस्‍्य ते दृष्टवा समरे सर्वपार्थिवा: । अपूजयन्त संद्वष्टा वाग्भि: शाल्वं नराधिपम्‌,युद्धमें उसकी फुर्ती देख सब राजा बड़े प्रसन्न हुए और अपनी वाणीद्वारा शाल्वनरेशकी प्रशंसा करने लगे

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

lāghavaṁ tasya te dṛṣṭvā samare sarvapārthivāḥ |

apūjayan saṁdṛṣṭā vāgbhiḥ śālvaṁ narādhipam ||

போரில் அவனுடைய சுறுசுறுப்பைக் கண்ட அனைத்து அரசர்களும் மகிழ்ந்தனர்; கண்டவுடன் அவர்கள் சொற்களால் மனிதர்களின் தலைவனான சால்வனைப் போற்றி மதித்தனர்.
