अयाचन्त च मां राजन् वरं तच्च मया कृतम् । जाताउ्जातानू प्रक्षिपास्मान् स्वयं गड़े त्वमम्भसि
ayācanta ca māṃ rājan varaṃ tacca mayā kṛtam | jātaujātānū prakṣipāsmān svayaṃ gaṅge tvam ambhasi rājan |
அரசே! அப்போது அவர்கள் என்னிடம் ஒரு வரம் வேண்டினர்; அதை நான் அளித்தேன். அவர்களின் வேண்டுகோள் இதுவே—“கங்கையே! நாங்கள் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் பிறக்கும் போதெல்லாம், நீயே எங்களை உன் நீரில் எறிந்து விடு.”
