FAQs

It presents Rudra-puja as a direct purifier of pāpa and invokes Surabhi as a beneficent power aligned with Shiva-worship, reinforcing that devotion and ritual centered on Rudra support inner and outer purification needed for Linga-upasana.

By calling the worship “Rudra-puja” and linking it to total sin-destruction, the verse implies Rudra as Pati—the liberating Lord whose grace loosens pasha (bondage) and restores the pashu (soul) toward śuddhi and शिवानुग्रह (Shiva’s favor).

Continuous Rudra-puja (nitya-rudra-pūjā) is highlighted—regular worship as a purificatory discipline that supports Pashupata-oriented sadhana by reducing impurities and strengthening devotion to Pati.
