विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां भोगार्थी भोगमाप्नुयात् द्रव्यार्थी च निधिं पश्येद् आयुःकामश् चिरायुषम्

Transliteration

vidyārthī labhate vidyāṃ bhogārthī bhogamāpnuyāt dravyārthī ca nidhiṃ paśyed āyuḥkāmaś cirāyuṣam

Translation

வித்தையை நாடுபவன் வித்தையை அடைவான்; போகத்தை நாடுபவன் போகத்தைப் பெறுவான். செல்வத்தை நாடுபவன் நிதியை காண்பான்; நீண்ட ஆயுளை விரும்புபவன் சிராயுளைப் பெறுவான்—லிங்கரூப பதி பரமேசுவரன் மீது பக்தியால் இவ்விளைவுகள் கிடைக்கும்।
