Adhyaya 72 — Puradāha: Rudra’s Cosmic Chariot, Pāśupata-Vrata, and Brahmā’s Shiva-Stuti

शताक्षश्चैव पञ्चाक्षः सहस्राक्षो महोदरः यमजिह्वः शताश्वश् च कण्ठनः कण्ठपूजनः

śatākṣaścaiva pañcākṣaḥ sahasrākṣo mahodaraḥ yamajihvaḥ śatāśvaś ca kaṇṭhanaḥ kaṇṭhapūjanaḥ

அவர் சதாக்ஷன்—நூறு கண்கள் உடையவன்; பஞ்சாக்ஷன்—பஞ்சாக்ஷரீ வடிவான ஆண்டவன்; ஸஹஸ்ராக்ஷன்—ஆயிரம் கண்கள் உடையவன்; மஹோதரன்—விரிந்த வயிற்றுடையவன். அவர் யமஜிஹ்வன்—யமன் போல் கட்டுப்பாடு-நீதியின் நாவு; சதாஷ்வன்—நூறு குதிரைகள் போல் வேகமுடையவன்; கண்டனன்—கழுத்தை மத்தம் செய்வவன்; கண்டபூஜனன்—கழுத்தில் வணங்கப்படும் நீலகண்டன், உலகைக் காக்க விஷத்தைத் தாங்கியவன்.
