Adhyaya 63: Daksha’s Progeny, Kashyapa’s Offspring, and the Rishi-Vamshas that Sustain the Worlds
सौदामिनीं तथा कन्यां सर्वलोकभयङ्करीम् सुरसायाः सहस्रं तु सर्पाणामभवत्पुरा
saudāminīṃ tathā kanyāṃ sarvalokabhayaṅkarīm surasāyāḥ sahasraṃ tu sarpāṇāmabhavatpurā
மேலும் (அவள்) எல்லா உலகங்களுக்கும் அச்சமூட்டும் சௌதாமினி என்னும் கன்னியைப் பெற்றாள்; சுரசாவிடமிருந்து முற்காலத்தில் ஆயிரம் பாம்புகள் பிறந்தன।
