तदा पार्श्वस्थितं विष्णुं संप्रेक्ष्य वृषभध्वजः / किमेतेषां भवेत् कार्यं प्राह पुण्यैषिणामिति

அப்போது வृषபத்வஜன் (சிவன்) தன் அருகில் நின்ற விஷ்ணுவை நோக்கி—“இப் புண்ணியம் நாடுவோருக்காக என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும்?” என்று கேட்டான்।
