मदन्वये तु ये सूताः संभूता वेदवर्जिताः / तेषां पुराणवक्तृत्वं वृत्तिरासीदजाज्ञया
madanvaye tu ye sūtāḥ saṃbhūtā vedavarjitāḥ / teṣāṃ purāṇavaktṛtvaṃ vṛttirāsīdajājñayā
என் வம்சத்தில் பிறந்த சூதர்கள் வேதப் பயில்வில் விலக்கப்பட்டதால், அஜன் (பிரம்மா) ஆணையின்படி புராணம் உரைத்தல் அவர்களின் வாழ்வாதாரமாகியது।
