कृतद्युतिरजानन्ती सपत्नीनामघं महत् । सुप्त एवेति सञ्चिन्त्य निरीक्ष्य व्यचरद्गृहे ॥ ४४ ॥
kṛtadyutir ajānantī sapatnīnām aghaṁ mahat supta eveti sañcintya nirīkṣya vyacarad gṛhe
இணைமனைவிகளின் பெரும் பாவத்தை அறியாத க்ருதத்யுதி, ‘மகன் ஆழ்ந்த உறக்கத்தில் இருக்கிறான்’ என்று எண்ணி, அவனைப் பார்த்தபடியே வீட்டில் நடந்தாள்; அவன் இறந்ததை உணரவில்லை.
