न स्तुवीत न निन्देत कुर्वत: साध्वसाधु वा । वदतो गुणदोषाभ्यां वर्जित: समदृङ्मुनि: ॥ १६ ॥
na stuvīta na nindeta kurvataḥ sādhv asādhu vā vadato guṇa-doṣābhyāṁ varjitaḥ sama-dṛṅ muniḥ
சமநோக்குடைய முனிவன், பிறர் நல்லதோ கெட்டதோ செய்கிறதையும், சரியாகவோ தவறாகவோ பேசுகிறதையும் கண்டாலும், யாரையும் புகழவும் மாட்டான்; யாரையும் பழிக்கவும் மாட்டான். குண-தோஷ இருமையால் அவன் பாதிக்கப்படான்.
