Kūrma Supports Mandara; Hālahala Appears; Śiva Becomes Nīlakaṇṭha
उपर्यधश्चात्मनि गोत्रनेत्रयो: परेण ते प्राविशता समेधिता: । ममन्थुरब्धिं तरसा मदोत्कटा महाद्रिणा क्षोभितनक्रचक्रम् ॥ १३ ॥

மலையின் மேலும்கீழுமாக இருந்து, தேவர்கள், அசுரர்கள், வாசுகி மற்றும் மலையிலும் புகுந்து ஊக்கமளித்த ஆண்டவனால், தேவர்-அசுரர்கள் அமுதத்திற்காக வெறித்தனமாகப் பெருமலையால் பாற்கடலை வேகமாகக் கடைந்தனர். கடல் மிகக் கலங்க, நீரிலுள்ள முதலைகள் பதறின; ஆனாலும் கடைதல் தொடர்ந்தது.
