न ह्येतस्मिन्कुले कश्चिन्नि:सत्त्व: कृपण: पुमान् । प्रत्याख्याता प्रतिश्रुत्य यो वादाता द्विजातये ॥ ३ ॥
na hy etasmin kule kaścin niḥsattvaḥ kṛpaṇaḥ pumān pratyākhyātā pratiśrutya yo vādātā dvijātaye
இந்த குலத்தில் இதுவரை எவரும் கீழ்மனத்தோடு அல்லது கஞ்சத்தனத்தோடு பிறந்ததில்லை. பிராமணர்கள் கேட்டால் எவரும் தானத்தை மறுத்ததில்லை; தானம் செய்வேன் என்று வாக்குக் கொடுத்து எவரும் அதை மீறியதில்லை.
