एतत् कल्पविकल्पस्य प्रमाणं परिकीर्तितम् । यत्र मन्वन्तराण्याहुश्चतुर्दश पुराविद: ॥ ११ ॥
etat kalpa-vikalpasya pramāṇaṁ parikīrtitam yatra manvantarāṇy āhuś caturdaśa purāvidaḥ
அரசே, ஒரு கல்பம் எனப்படும் பிரம்மாவின் ஒரு நாளில் ‘விகல்ப’ம் என்று சொல்லப்படும் பல மாற்றங்கள் நிகழ்கின்றன; அவற்றின் ஆதாரத்தை நான் முன்பே கூறினேன். புராண அறிஞர்கள் பிரம்மாவின் ஒரு நாளில் பதினான்கு மன்வந்தரங்கள் உள்ளன என்று உறுதி செய்துள்ளனர்.
