वज्रपाणिस्तमाहेदं तिरस्कृत्य पुर:स्थितम् । मनस्विनं सुसम्पन्नं विचरन्तं महामृधे ॥ ३ ॥
vajra-pāṇis tam āhedaṁ tiraskṛtya puraḥ-sthitam manasvinaṁ susampannaṁ vicarantaṁ mahā-mṛdhe
நிதானமும் சகிப்புத்தன்மையு, போருக்குத் தேவையான அனைத்துப் பொருட்களுடனும் நன்கு ஆயத்தமாக இருந்த மகாபலி சக்கரவர்த்தி, இந்திரனுக்கு முன்னால் சென்றார். கையில் வஜ்ராயுதத்தை ஏந்தியிருந்த இந்திரன், மகாபலியைப் பின்வருமாறு கடிந்துகொண்டார்.
