Sukta 38
केवलः पतिः। इदं खनामि भेषजं मांपश्यमभिरोरुदम्। परायतो निवर्तनमायतः प्रतिनन्दनम्
kévalaḥ pátiḥ | idáṃ khanā́mi bheṣajáṃ mā́ṃ paśyám abhi-rórudam | parāyató ní-vartanaṃ āyató práti-nandanam ||
An only husband: this medicine I dig up—(that he) may look on me, crying out for me; the return of him who hath gone away, the glad welcoming of him who cometh.
ஒரே கணவன்: இந்தப் பேஷஜம் (மருந்தை) நான் தோண்டி எடுக்கிறேன்—அவன் என்னைப் பார்த்து, எனக்காக அழைத்து அலற வேண்டும்; போய்விட்டவனின் திரும்புதல், வருபவனின் மகிழ்வான வரவேற்பு.
