Sukta 12
सर्प-विष-निवारणम्। परि द्यामिव सूर्योऽहीनां जनिमागमम्। रात्री जगदिवान्यद्धंसात् तेना ते वारये विषम्
pári dyā́m iva sū́ryo ’hī́nāṁ jánim ā́gamam | rā́trīr jágad ivā́nyad haṁsā́t ténā te vārayé víṣam ||
As the Sun encompasseth the heaven, so have I come upon the serpents’ birth. As from the Haṁsa the other moving world (is kept apart), by that same power I ward from thee the poison.
பாம்பு-விஷ நிவாரணம். சூரியன் வானத்தைச் சுற்றி வளைத்துக் காப்பதுபோல், நான் பாம்புகளின் பிறப்பிடத்தை அணைந்தேன். ஹம்ஸத்திலிருந்து இந்த மற்ற அசையும் உலகம் பிரித்து வைக்கப்படுவது போல, அதே சக்தியால் உன்னிடமுள்ள விஷத்தை நான் தடுத்து நீக்குகிறேன்.
