लोहितेन स्वधितिना मिथुनं कर्णयोः कृधि । अकर्तामश्विना लक्ष्म तदस्तु प्रजया बहु

IAST Transliteration

lóhitena svádhitinā mithunáṃ kárṇayoh kr̥dhí | ákartām aśvínā lákṣma tád astu prajáyā bahú ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

With the red-hued axe make thou a paired mark upon the ears. Let the Aśvins fashion the sign: so be it—abundant in progeny.

Translation

செந்நிற ஸ்வதிதி (கோடரி) கொண்டு இரு காதுகளிலும் ஜோடி-அடையாளம் செய். அஸ்வினௌ அந்த லக்ஷ்ம-சின்னத்தை அமைக்கட்டும்; அது அப்படியே ஆகட்டும்—பெரும் சந்ததி-வளத்துடன்.
