केशवर्धनम्। यां जमदग्निरखनद् दुहित्रे केशवर्धनीम्। तां वीतहव्य आभरदसितस्य गृहेभ्यः
keśavárdhanam | yā́ṃ jamádagnír ákhanad duhitré keśavárdhanīm | tā́ṃ vītáhavya ā́bharad asitásya gṛhébhyaḥ ||
A hair-increaser: the hair-growing (plant) which Jamadagni dug up for his daughter—this Vītahavya brought hither from the houses of Asita.
கேச-வர்த்தனம் (மூலிகை): ஜமதக்னி தன் மகளுக்காகத் தோண்டி எடுத்த கேச-வர்த்தினி (தாவரம்)—அதையே வீதஹவ்யன் அசிதனுடைய இல்லங்களிலிருந்து இங்கே கொண்டு வந்தான்.
