अधरोऽधर उत्तरेभ्यो गूढः पृथिव्या मोत् सृपत्। वज्रेणावहतः शयाम्

IAST Transliteration

adháro’dhara úttarebhyo gūḍháḥ pṛthivyā́ mā́ út sṛ́pat | vájreṇā́vahatáḥ śayām

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Lower, yea lower than the upper folk—hidden in the earth—let him not creep forth upward. Smitten down with the thunderbolt, may he lie.

Translation

மேலுள்ளோரைவிடவும் கீழானவன், பூமிக்குள் மறைந்து கிடக்கட்டும்; மேல்நோக்கி ஊர்ந்து வெளிவராதிருக்கட்டும். வஜ்ரத்தால் அடிக்கப்பட்டு அவன் அங்கேயே படுத்திருக்கட்டும்.
