यां त्वा पूर्वे भूतकृत ऋषयः परिबेधिरे। सा त्वं परि ष्वजस्व मां दीर्घायुत्वाय मेखले
yā́ṃ tvā pū́rve bhūtakṛ́ta ṛ́ṣayaḥ parí bedhiré | sā́ tvaṃ parí ṣvajásva mā́ṃ dīrghāyutvā́ya mekhale
Thee whom the ancient Seers, the Makers of beings, have girt about—do thou, that same, clasp me round, O Mekhalā, for the winning of long life.
முன்னோர் பூதக்ருத் ரிஷிகள் உன்னைச் சுற்றிக் கட்டியிருந்தார்களே—அந்த நீயே, ஓ மேகலா, என் நீண்ட ஆயுளுக்காக என்னைச் சுற்றி அணைத்துக் கொள்.
