Sukta 114
मेदस्वता यजमानाः स्रुचाज्यानि जुह्वतः । अकामा विश्वे वो देवाः शिक्षन्तो नोप शेकिम
médasvatā yajámānāḥ srúcā́jyā́ni juhvátáḥ | akāmā́ víśve vo devā́ḥ śíkṣanto nópa śekím
Though rich in unction, we sacrificers, pouring ghee with the ladle, have not, O all ye Gods, duly served you—whether without right intent; therefore, correcting us, do ye release (the fault’s bond).
நெய்-செழிப்புடன் இருந்தும் நாங்கள் யஜமானர்கள், ஸ்ருசி (கரண்டி) கொண்டு நெய் ஆஹுதி செலுத்திக்கொண்டே, ஹே விஷ்வதேவர்களே, உங்களை முறையாகச் சேவிக்க இயலவில்லை—அது அ-காமமாக (உகந்த நோக்கமின்றி) இருந்தாலும். ஆகவே எங்களைத் திருத்தி (அக்குற்றப் பந்தத்திலிருந்து) விடுவியுங்கள்.
