Sukta 112
पाशमोचनम्। मा ज्येष्ठं वधीदयमग्न एषां मूलबर्हणात् परि पाह्येनम्। स ग्राह्याः पाशान् वि चृत प्रजानन् तुभ्यं देवा अनु जानन्तु विश्वे
mā́ jyéṣṭhaṃ vadhī́d ayám agne eṣā́ṃ mū́la-barhaṇā́t pári pāhy enam | sá grāhyā́ḥ pā́śān ví cṛta prajā́nann túbhyaṃ devā́ ánu jānantu víśve ||
Loose from the noose. Slay not the eldest: this man, O Agni, from their root-uprooting guard thou round about. As one who knoweth, sever thou the seizable nooses: for thee let all the Gods give sanction.
பாச-மோசனம். ஹே அக்னியே, இவன்—இவர்களின் ‘மூலபர்ஹண’ (வேர்-பிடுங்குதல்) காரணமான தீங்கில் இருந்து—சுற்றிலும் காத்தருள்வாயாக; மூத்தவனை கொல்லாதே. அறிந்தவனாய், பற்றிக்கொள்ளத்தக்க பாசங்களை வெட்டி விடு; உனக்காக எல்லா தேவர்களும் அனுமதி அளிக்கட்டும்.
