Sukta 102
आहं खिदामि ते मनो राजाश्वः पृष्ट्यामिव । रेष्मच्छिन्नं यथा तृणं मयि ते वेष्टतां मनः
ā́haṃ khidā́mi te máno rājā́śvaḥ pṛṣṭhyā́m iva | reśmáccʰinnaṃ yáthā́ tṛ́ṇaṃ máyi te veṣṭatāṃ mánaḥ ||
I harry down thy mind, as one the royal steed beneath the back-strap’s hold; as grass is wound when cut by rein, so round about me let thy mind enwreathe itself.
நான் உன் மனத்தை அடக்கி வசப்படுத்துகிறேன்—முதுகுப் பட்டையின் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் அரசுக் குதிரை இறுக்கப் பிடிக்கப்படுவது போல. கட்டுப்பாட்டால் வெட்டப்பட்ட புல் சுற்றிப் பிணைவதுபோல், உன் மனம் என்னைச் சுற்றி பிணைந்து நிற்கட்டும்.
