परीदं वासो अधिथाः स्वस्तयेऽभूर्वापीनामभिशस्तिपा उ । शतं च जीव शरदः पुरूचीर्वसूनि चारुर्वि भजासि जीवन्

IAST Transliteration

párī́daṃ vā́so adhithāḥ svastáye ’bhū́r vāpīnā́m abhíśastipā́ u | śatáṃ ca jī́va śarádaḥ purūcī́r vásūni cā́rur ví bhajāsi jī́van

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Round thee thou hast assumed this garment for welfare; thou hast become, indeed, a warder from imprecation for the pools. Live thou a hundred years, yea many autumns; and, living, in seemly wise divide and enjoy thy goods.

Translation

நலத்திற்காக நீ உன்னைச் சுற்றிலும் இந்த ஆடையை அணிந்துள்ளாய்; மேலும் நீ உண்மையாகவே குளங்கள்/நீர்த்தடங்களுக்குப் அபிசாப-காவலாக ஆனாய். நீ நூறு ஆண்டுகள், பல சரத்காலங்கள் வாழ்க; வாழ்ந்தபடியே, அழகிய முறையில் உன் வசுக்கள் (செல்வங்கள்) பகிர்ந்து அனுபவிக்கவும்.
