Sukta 3
ये नः पितुः पितरो ये पितामहा य आविविशुरुर्व१न्तरिक्षम्। तेभ्यः स्वराडसुनीतिर्नो अद्य वथावशं तन्वः कल्पयाति
yé naḥ pitúḥ pitáraḥ yé pitāmahā́ yá āvivíśur urvàṃ antárikṣam | tébhyaḥ svarā́ḍ ásunītir no adyá vathāváśaṃ tanvàḥ kalpayāti
Those Fathers of our father, those grandsires, who have passed and entered the broad mid-air—unto them the self-ruling Life-guidance, even to-day, disposeth for our bodies a state not subject to the compulsion of the road.
எங்கள் தந்தையின் பிதர்கள், எங்கள் பிதாமகர்கள்—சென்று பரந்த அந்தரிக்ஷத்தில் புகுந்தவர்கள்—அவர்களுக்காக ஸ்வராட் (தன்னாட்சி உடைய) அஸுநீதி (பிராண-வழிகாட்டல்) இன்று எங்கள் உடல்களுக்கு, பாதையின் கட்டாயத்திற்கும் அடிமையல்லாத ஒரு நிலையைக் கட்டமைக்கட்டும்.
